Healthy Morning Drinks – 5 unique and delicious recipes! Ahhhh the Morning. Bliss. One of my *absolute* favourite times of day!
I love to have a balance of Mornings where I get up and get things done and mornings where I start slow. Sometimes I go for a run, I work out or go for a walk with the pups, or get most of the house spotlessly clean before 8am! The mornings really are when I am filled with the most energy.
I also loooove mornings where I am mindful of the day ahead, I read, plan out my day with intentionality and just enjoy every slow moment.
However, my *favorite* way to start either a slow or proactive day is with my Healthy Morning drinks!
These have slowly developed and changed over time to become what I believe are the perfect combinations for a fabulous morning!!
I truly believe that being intentional about how you start your day *matters* ! If you are making healthy choices from the beginning you are so much more likely to make better choices during the day. What’s even better is that you will gain more energy and and get a mood booster to keep you starting WELL.
On the mornings that I work out I have to do it before I eat or drink anything! My body does not respond well unless it is on an empty stomach (but thats just me, everyone is different!). Therefore, after I work out I start my daily routine and feel oh so good about getting the workout DONE.
Here are the drinks that I have added to my morning routine and just loving the results and the ritual I have created with these healthy morning drinks!
Also before I begin with these I don’t always have them all every morning, but if I do I will spread them out and enjoy them all sooo much!

1. Lemon and Chia seed WONDER DRINK.
This is the best one to start your day with! It is the most healthy morning drinks from the list. Does it taste amazing? Sorry to burst any bubbles with this first one but it does not taste the best lol. However, I like to start with it because it is *so* good for you to start your day with HYDRATION! This is something we hear all the time, but girl it is important and with this one you just have to DO IT, no complaining, just choose health….((sometimes you need that friend to give you a little kick and here I am!))
I won’t bore you with all the reasons why hydration is important (you can look it up and every health practitioner will agree that hydration is soooo important)
But what I will say is that hydration is linked directly with our physical and mental health, our concentration, weight, skin health and energy levels. So that being said let me tell ya about it!
T H E R E C I P E:
–Warm water (important as this promotes your blood vessels to enlarge slightly, promoting more oxygen to get to your organs so that they function better).
-½ Lemon juice
-1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
-1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
-Natural Sea salt or Himalayan/Celtic salt (these types of salts are *actually* hydrating because of the trace minerals they contain which haven’t been processed out like regular table salt. These salts help your body to absorb more water, so it doesn’t just get flushed through)
I N S T R U C T I O N S:
Mix altogether and enjoy! I usually wait until the chia seeds have absorbed some of the water and then I try to drink this is about 5 minutes, as I don’t enjoy it that much, but I feel sooo good after and I know that is the best way to start my day AND I have other drinks after to look forward too!
BENEFITS OF LEMON CHIA DRINK:
Hydrationnnnnn ! This drink definitely gives you a great start to the day in regards to hydration, but it also contains trace minerals, electrolytes, fiber and nutrition !
2. Green Tea Kombucha (or any Green Tea)
I looove having Green tea after the Lemon Chia drink. Tea has such a calming presence, so tea in the morning is such a great way to slow down, and be intentional with your morning.
Green Tea Kombucha is my favourite (or blueberry slim green tea) because I find regular green tea too bitter, however regular green tea is fantastic, I just always look for ways for me to *enjoy* my health and for me Green Tea Kombucha helped me do that.
I look forward to this tea every morning. It makes me feel cosy and adds to my morning routine, keeping me hydrated in the morning ((sooo important)).
My favourite thing to do is link this drink with a morning habit, (or what you want to become a habit) like reading or journaling! Then every time you make this tea you will be reminded to do it and that’s how habits begin!
I N G R E D I E N T S:
–Green Tea. My favourites: Green Tea Kombucha, Green Blueberry Slim, Matcha Green Tea.
–Favourite Morning mug or Tea cup. My favourites: this one, or this one.
I N S T R U C T I O N S:
Let it steep for 3 minutes and then sit back and enjoy, just feel the health benefits seeping through your body.
BENEFITS OF GREEN TEA:
I always knew that Green Tea was great for providing antioxidants but there are a lot more exciting benefits!
Green Tea reduces inflammation (yay!), helps prevent cell damage (hellooo youthful skin!), improves brain function, increases fat burning and provides energy!
3. Nourish Meal Replacement
Meal Replacements are so handy! While I *love* Sitting down to a lovely breakfast in the morning, it’s not always possible, and Nourish is such a great substitute with so many benefits, which is why it’s my favourite meal replacement.
I N G R E D I E N T S:
–Nourish Meal Replacement (comes in 3 different flavours: Brownie Batter, Coconut Cream and Chocolate mint truffle).
–8-12 oz beverage of choice (I like to use Almond Milk but water works too!)
I N S T R U C T I O N S:
-Just mix and enjoy!!
BENEFITS OF NOURISH MEAL REPLACEMENT:
This is the best part!! There are sooo many amazing benefits to this drink AND it only contains 80 calories per serving size! (which is all you need as it fills you up!)
It is a full meal replacement, supports gut health and has a unique component (GOS) which is found in human breast milk which enhances the gut to skin pathway, clinically reducing wrinkles, age spots and enhancing hydration. It delivers 15 grams of protein while enabling our skin to hold more collagen in place.
Sounds amazing right?! That’s because it is!! You can get yours HERE!
4. Mojo Miracle drink
This is my personal favorite healthy morning drink. Now that breakfast is pretty much over (unless you get up at 5am, get it girl!) then you’re on to the next stage of the morning drink ritualllll.
If you haven’t noticed, we have been packing in the hydration and getting our body so ready for digestion! But if you’re like me and want to eat lunch way too early, its time to introduce drink number 4 which just might be my favourite of all!
Introducing MOJO!!
What is mojo? Mojo is formulated with rich cocoa, or brazilian coffee beans, plus a proprietary performance blend consisting of seven naturally derived ingredients. Basically this is your ENERGYYY for the morning!
Now I will never be that person who tries to talk you out of coffee, BUT if you are feeling convicted to take your caffeine intake down a notch, (it still contains some caffeine) here is your healthy, energizing substitution! (some sneaky people even add mojo to their coffee!)
I N G R E D I E N T S:
–Mojo powder: Comes in 2 flavours; Brazilian Coffee or Chocolate!
–Hot Milk or water: Perfect for cosy mornings
-Cold milk with ice: Mix the powder with a tablespoon of boiling water to get it to mix well, then pour it on top of your milk with ice and it will be Delicious!! I wouldn’t recommend trying with cold water, it just isn’t good.
BENEFITS OF MOJO:
Helps boost energy, promotes weight loss and helps improve mood and focus! Perfect for that mid morning slump 🙂
5. Healthy Orange Ginger Juice
Orange Juice is such a popular breakfast drink! However, it’s *insane* how much sugar and additives are in regular orange juice! Unfortunately this has made it a not so healthy morning choice.
BUT good news is you can make one that is uber healthy and tastes delicious! Now hear me out on this but I keep everything together, I don’t go straining anything out. I believe that FIBER is sooo important. Let me explain, God created fruit to be eaten as a whole food, the reason is that the amount of natural sugars in fruit are quite high, but when included with the flesh or the fruit which contains fiber our body is able to regulate and digest the fruit in a very healthy way! But if we take the fiber away and just drink the juice our sugar intake spikes and our body doesn’t know what to do!
Therefore I believe a good juicer is vital for this drink! I dare you to give it a go and just FEEL the nutritional value this drink provides!
I N G R E D I E N T S:
-2 Oranges (1 peeled, the other with skin left on)
-1 cup of Organic Coconut Water
-Teaspoon of Turmeric
-Lemon juice from 1 lemon
-Lime juice from 1 lime
-⅓ of a whole Ginger
-Pinch of Black Cracked Pepper (don’t omit this, it helps with bioavailability absorption of turmeric, very important!)
I N S T R U C T I O N S:
Peel the ginger as well as you can (doesn’t have to be perfect), then cut it up into chunks, measure about 1/4th cup total, and add to blender. Squeeze the juice out from fresh lemon and lime. Strain out any seeds, and add to blender. Measure and add coconut water, turmeric, black cracked pepper and the oranges, roughly chopped to the blender.
Blend well.
If you are going to make this into a juice (which is fine, I just like the added benefits of having all the fiber with the juice!) you will need to strain out the chunky parts by using a fine strainer or milk cloth (however it will get stained by the turmeric). Otherwise once it’s blended it’s ready to enjoy!
Let the health benefits fly!!
I hope you enjoy these Healthy Morning Drinks. I have been having them for a while now and have *absolutely* felt the benefits and they really add joy to my Morning routine!
