20 Things you don’t know about Me! So this post is going to be a little different…. Usually I love to create posts that add value, or inspiration to *your* life. However, some of you have been asking me some more personal questions, so I thought sharing a bit more about myself would give some added perspective on the topics that I write about.
While most of the posts I will continue to share are (of course) going to be more tangible resources about holistic well-being, self-care, faith, relationships, etc., I HEARD YOUR FEEDBACK and when it comes to blog topics…if you want it, you got it..
So to kick us off, I’m going to share twenty things you may not know about me. These are light-hearted, simple little fun facts that might just help you “get to know me” a little better 🙂 Let’s jump in!

1. I am a Twin!
I am officially 4 minutes older than my identical twin Talitha. We grew up very close, and even though we don’t look 100% the same, there are definite similarities. We also have a lot of similar interests and sense of humour.
Yes it was fun to have a twin, I basically had a best friend who I did everything with, and who knew me like no none else.
and yes we did try to pretend we were telepathic and were each other, but unfortunately we weren’t clever enough to completely pull it off, but trust me, we tried! haha
Here is a photo of us below. Our younger sister Sam snuck in on the right.
2. I love clothes shopping
Give me a voucher and you’ll be my bestie! Getting gift vouchers for clothing stores are my my favourite gift. I love to go shopping! Some of my favourite places to shop are:
3. I have a degree in Social Science and I majored in Development Studies
I took a 3 year gap between high school and going to University. I wasn’t sure that I was even going to go to University, so I just worked and travelled for 3 years. Then, I felt the pull to get a degree in something that would interest me. I loved working with people, and wanting to help with Development issues. It was a very interesting degree!
4. I learnt French in University
I learnt french at University for almost 3 years. I got quite good, however then I moved to America for 8 years, and recently moved to Germany. I am now learning German, but would love to pick up french again, it’s such a beautiful language.
5. My fave thing in the world is a Quality Time date
I am not a big ‘foodie’. I would prefer beautiful ambiance and conversation, than eating the best food in a restaurant that had bad lighting, or was too loud. Just being completely present with the person/people I am with, full of good conversations is what I love!
6. Extrovert & Introvert
I have done so many online tests and quiz’s to find out my personality type and my percentage of extrovert and introvert-ness. However, almost everytime I am split right down the middle! I can be by myself for a long time and really enjoy it, and feel energised. But I also love being around people and I feel energised by being in busy spaces.
Although I have noticed that if I am in one of those two situations for too long, I can get very antzy and need to switch something up.
7. Something I get self conscious about is…
People not taking me seriously…the reason for this is that I am naturally quite light hearted and bubbly. So I worry that when I talk about serious things I almost have to prove that I have the experience or intellect first, and it has often been a place of insecurity for me.
I want to be taken seriously about things that are serious to me, however I also want to have fun and throw everything to the wind sometimes!
I truly DO believe you can learn & grow & get things done *while* have fun along the way. I DO take my goals seriously, I DO work hard, I AM educated, I AM responsible AND will always, always, always approach life with a spirit of laughter, playfulness, and joy! (…but, I won’t lie, it is definitely still something I can get self-conscious about!)
8. I am a local Western Sydney girl
I was born in Geelong, Victoria in Australia. We then moved to the little island at the bottom of Australia called Tasmania, then moved back to Victoria, and then when I was 12 we moved to Western Sydney (about an hour from the city of Sydney). I lived there until I was 25 so Western Sydney is home to me. We would joke about how we lived in the Outback or the Sticks because of how Country it was. My Dad owned horses, Chickens, and different animals over the years, so I grew up in the Country life or rural Australia.
9. I lived in California for 8 years
When i was 25 I moved to Redding in California to attend a Bible School there. It was a part of Bethel Church and there I met my husband Aldrin 🙂 we were able to live and work there for the next few years because of a visa opportunity, so it was a beautiful experience we had!
10. I am now living in Germany
However, since my husband is German (born and raised until he was 26) we knew we could either stay living in the USA, move to Australia or move to Germany. After a praying about it for a few months, we felt like God was leading us to Germany. So here we are! Another big move together, but I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else. The language difference is difficult but overall it has been an exciting move!
11. Murder Mystery TV shows are my absolute fave
you can find me with a cup of tea and a piece of chocolate watching Sherlock, or Father Brown, Marple, etc…no other genre is as interesting to me!
12. I am going after Kingdom Wealth
I felt like the Lord started talking to me a few years ago about Kingdom Wealth. I knew that it wasn’t God’s will for Christians to be in lack, but I also didn’t know how to get into a good place about wealth, and thrive in a way that I can use money to contribute into the kingdom of God and bring lasting change. But I am on a journey, I feel He is teaching me more and more of how to be a good steward and how to make money work for me, rather than work for money.
I will share all I am learning soon, and I will also have some exciting opportunities coming. Can’t wait to share them with you soon!
13. Some of my hobbies include;
Going for walks with my dog Rocky, time with Jesus, baking something, going out for coffee with a friend, finding clothes I like online and then making them at home, going traveling and working on this blog.
14. Jesus is everything to me…
I got saved when I was very young. I don’t know the time or place, but I just knew that I had made the decision at some point to invite Jesus into my life and make Him God of my life. However when I was around 10 years old, I had an experience out on the playground where I saw my own shadow and suddenly knew that I knew that I knew that God was real. It was like God dropped the strongest sense of His presence and reality into my young spirit at the exact moment I saw my own shadow. I don’t know why my shadow was used in this experience, but it stopped me in my tracks and I have never had any doubt about His realness since.
I still struggle with things that other people do, I get scared, frusterated and stressed. however, I know that God is changing me everyday, and drawing me closer and I love doing life with Him! It gives purpose to everything and empowers me to live a life that Shines God’s goodness and helps to transform other peoples lives too. It’s the best way to live!
15. I am a Life Coach
I am very passionate about Christian women living an empowered, life full of freedom, peace and purpose. I started a Life Coaching 1-1 and Group coaching packages that are available. If you know there’s more for your life, but you need some guidance, accountability and clarity on how to become the person that God designed you to be, you can check out Life Coaching HERE.
16. Chocolate is my love language
I love good quality Chocolate (not Hershey’s!). Cabdury Top Deck from Australia is one of my top favourites! But now that we live in Germany, pretty much all the chocolate is good! I opt for more of the simple flavours, maybe with some nuts, but not caramel or fancy flavourings, just plain and simple is just right 🙂
17. One place I am dying to go is:
Copenhagen in Denmark, since we now live in Germany we are not that far away and it is a life dream! You know when you see photos or hear about a place and then you just know its meant to be? That´s Copenhagen for me 🙂 Watch this space because we are planning to go soon!
18. I love reading, I find it more relaxing than TV
Books are so cosy and such a beautiful way to wind down and get lost in a good story. Right now I am loving Richard Osman’s ‘A Thursday Murder Club Mystery‘ series! And the book called ‘Fire of Heaven‘ full of mystery, history and romance, highly recommend these to add to your collection, if you are also a fellow reader 🙂
19. I am not a good cook
I love baking. But I am actually not a great cook, I get very nervous if we invite people over for dinner, and many, many meals that I have made have been disasters. I don’t enjoy cooking very much, so maybe that’s part of the reason, but it’s just not my strong point at all…
20. I love Friendships
I believe they are such a gift from God and I have been working out lately how to steward them well and what that looks like when I am all over the world etc. I have also been reading and watching some interesting things about friendships. These days, friendships are often quite shallow and I beieve if we were able to do friendships better, I believe there would be less depression, anxiety and suicide in the world. Watch this space because I am going to be touching on this very subject more and more in the near future!
I hope you enjoyed getting a little glimpse into my life!
